Today we celebrate the life and homegoing of Warlene Milner, affectionately known as "Bay" by family and friends.
Warlene was born on March 9, 1927 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Hattie Rimes and Jeff Latimore.
At a very early age she relocated to East Point, Georgia with her grandparents, Perry and Carrie Strickland. She united with Siloam Baptist Church and remained a member until the church relocated. Warlene then united with New Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she remained a member until death.
Warlene was a faithful and dedicated employee of Delta Airlines for twenty-three years. Upon retirement she enjoyed yard work. She was very creative with her placement of flowers, vegetables and ornaments to represent the different holidays throughout the year. She also enjoyed listening to jazz music and walking.
She leaves to cherish her love and devotion two daughters, Sundra S. Enous and Quiana Harris; two granddaughters, Inderla Kirkpatrick and Jenita Bouie; two great grandchildren, Tempess Clark and Elijah Redmond; two great-great grandchildren, Taylor Johnson and Easten J. Redmond; one brother, Theodis Goann) Fenn; one sister, Carrie B. Outlaw; two very devoted lifelong friends, Irene King and Robert Walker; extended family members, the Roberts Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by the joys and loves of her life, Almeta Jones, Robin J. Tinch, Brandon J. Tinch, Bryan R. Tinch, Rosa Lee "Shug" Allen, James and John Hardy and Pauline and James Byrd.
A Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me
and I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and your eyes
are all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
a
'
I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart
For every time you think of me
I'm right her in your heart.
