Obituary
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a 1-vorkman that needeth not to be
ashamed. rightly di\iding the word oftruth. "
II Timothy 2:15
It has pleased the almighty God to take our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and neighbor to his final reward on Monday, September 17, 2012. Mr. Aaron Jackson, age 96. a native of Sumter County, South Carolina moved to Darlington County. South Carolina and married the late Elizabeth Atline Jackson. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. His family and friends will miss him every day, but they do have the great consolation of knowing that even as they loved him. God loved him best. The community in which he lived will no longer see that familiar figure around the yard and community~ but will think of him as faring on.
Mr. Aaron Jackson stepped across that threshold that we call death but it was only a step into another room, and not a stepping out of the fellowship of life. The noises of the world make it hard for us to hear the still small voices beyond the door. The world~s bright lights blind our eyes to the soft glow of eternity. We have concern and sympathy for the family and beg them to turn their hearts to~God who does all things well and will comfort all who mourn. The family will remember the words; " Study yourself', " Be particular' 'And don't forge t to pray" as words of wisdom to live by!
Surviving to mourn his passing are his four sons, Willis Jackson of Miami. FL. Richard (tarline) Jackson of Charlotte, NC. Burnie (Linda) Jackson of Columbia, SC. and George Jackson of Bronx, NY; five daughters, Lillie Holloman of Chapel Hill , NC, Rosa (Cephas) Battle of Effingham, SC, . Aarie Jackson of Columbia, SC, Dorothy (Andrew) Lucky of Darlington, SC, and Betty (Edward) Samuel of Dillon SC; three daughters-in-law, Mildred Jackson of Charlotte. NC. Mary Jackson of Brooklyn, Y and Barbara Jean Jackson ; a special friend. Eunice Burroughs of Hartsville, SC; twenty-one grandchildren , seventy great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives. and very dear friends.
